"Muranovo" Manor-Museum
House-Museum "Muranovo' is named after F.I. Tyutchev.
Museum "Muranovo" is the most unique monument of the Russian spiritual life of the XIX - XX centuries, connected with names of the remarkable poets E.A. Boratynsky (1800-1844) and F.I. Tyutchev.
During more than hundred years (1816 - 1918) the families of Engelgart, Boratynsky, Putyat and Tyutchev had lived in Muranovo consistently replacing each other.
From the end of the XIX century Muranovo gradually turned to museum where the family relics were stored. Museum "Muranovo" is the richest storehouse of literary, historic-cultural and historic-household values.
The museum has various collections. The works of Russian and West-European masters present a collection of the fine art of the XVIII - XX centuries (oil painting, water color, pastel and engravings). These masters are Rokotov, Zubov, Serdukov, Tropinin, Aivazovsky, Gau etc.
The arts and crafts collection shows remarkable samples of porcelain and faience made by Russian and foreign plants, bronze and glass works, lighting equipment, silk and woolen fabrics.
There is various furniture of the XVIII - XIX centuries presented in the collection. The owner's archive and numerous photos of the house and his inhabitants can't be underestimated from the cultural point of view. The Muranovo's library is worth seeing.
